The Power Of Positioning Yourself

I attended the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education hosted in the city of St. Louis. I walked through the American Convention Center, a massive place, in search of a restroom.  (this  was not a great experience after waiting a bit too long and cutting it a bit too close--BUT I made it.)  I walked into something that looked futuristic, an automatic public restroom..  Every  fixture had sensors  and it was totally hands-free. I am Not really a germ freak but I still appreciate a clean, modern bathroom especially with no-touch sensors on the urinals, soap dispensers, faucets and paper towel dispenser and/or hand dryer. After I paid "my water bill" (lol) i walked away from the urinals and it flushed automatically. I then headed to wash my hands and stood and watched an older gentleman struggling to get the water to flow. I told him that he would have to position his hands just below the faucet to start the flow and again the same with soap dispenser.  He struggled but finally got it. Then for the finale, he just could not close the deal with the paper towel dispenser. So patiently shared with him that he would need to make sure his hands were In the right position in order to get out the machine what had been placed in it to achieve the desired outcome.  With a little coaching he was very appreciative  and thanked me, but as he walked away I realized how powerful that experienced was, THE POWER OF POSITIONING!    Positioning yourself is the key to being blessed & favored. If you want to succeed in your career, marriage, finances, business, family, or future then you must position yourself. If you are interested in positioning yourself to prosper in the plan for your life you will not want to miss reading the next paragraph!! God said to Joshua, Moses successor, who was to lead His people into the Promised Land, "Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:7-9 ESV)

If you want to position yourself to prosper in his plan:
1. Be fearless verse 7a
2. Be faithful verse 7b
3. Be fruitful verse 8a
4. Be focused verse 8b
5. Be fixed verse 9

What that restroom experience taught that older gentleman was everything he needed was provided he simply needed to position himself to enjoy the process and reap the benefits.
